Handrails shall be arranged on at least one side of the step. If the width of the step exceeds 1200mm, handrails shall be arranged on both sides. The step height of 200mm is recommended. The total load of the 1200mm wide platform shall not exceed 350kg. A single step load of 1200mm wide shall not exceed 150kg. The maximum distance between the handrails and guardrails shall not exceed 1500mm. The height of handrails and guardrails shall not exceed 500mm on the first floor and 1000mm on the second floor.
